2024 Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge
We hosted a successful 2024 Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge.
Pitch Night was held on May 1st, where 10 finalists pitched their business plans to a panel of judges.
We had three winners - tied for first place were Margot Rudderham and Hailey Vansnick, and third place was won by Max Clark.
We plan to open this program again in the winter of 2025!
2023 AGM
We hosted our 2023 AGM on Thursday, June 22nd at the Dr. Carson and Marion Murray Community Centre in Springhill.
Our keynote speaker was the Honourable John Lohr who is the Provincial Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing.

This in-person, full-day, interactive session facilitated by Acadia Entrepreneurship Centre will introduce the Design Thinking method of problem solving and support attendees in applying it directly to current situations in their businesses. The Town of Amherst, in partnership with the Amherst and Area Chamber of Commerce, CBDC Cumberland, the Cumberland Business Connector and the Town of Oxford, launched the Mind Your Business Cumberland workshop series in the fall of 2020. |
